Rick Sordelet is a physical action director who has choreographed 52 Broadway shows including: Beauty and the Beast, Lion King, Tarzan, Aida, The Scottsboro Boys and That Championship Season. His work in film as a stunt coordinator includes: The Game Plan, Dan in Real Life and Hamlet. Rick was also chief stunt coordinator for Guiding Light for 12 years and currently has the same position on One Life to Live. He holds a master’s in acting from Rutgers University and is an instructor at Yale School of Drama.
Sordelet’s play Buried Treasure was produced by the George Street Playhouse, and he is also the director of a number of other professional productions. Most recently he was physical action director for the San Francisco Opera’s world premiere of Heart of a Soldier and the lead fight choreographer for Ben Hur Live at Circus Maximus in Rome, a production involving more than 350 actors.
