Randy Philipp is a full professor of mathematics education in the Center for Research in Mathematics and Science Education at San Diego State University. He received his doctorate from the University of Wisconsin at Madison. He is an international leader in scholarship of the preparation and development of mathematics teachers, with a particular focus on professional noticing and attention to children’s thinking.
