Dr Fouad is currently a professor of pharmacology and toxicology, College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Mosul, Iraq. He also has held numerous positions at the university including Dean of Veterinary Medicine, Chairman of Pharmacology, Vice President for Administration and Financial Affairs and a number of other leadership positions. Additionally, Dr. Fouad obtained his MS (veterinary pharmacology) and PhD (pharmacology, minor neuroscience) From MU!
Dr. Fouad Kasim Mohammad currently serves as Ministry Deputy for Scientific Research Affairs, Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in Baghdad (Iraq).
Dr Fouad Kasim, has published more than 231 articles (Journal publications-163; Books-5; Abstracts-37, Contract pharmaceutical studies-26) related to veterinary medicine and pharmacology, toxicology, and biopharmaceutics. He is editor and associate editor of several scientific journals published nationally and internationally. He has been distinguished numerous times for scientific achievements, having received several awards and honors for his recognized scientific contributions.

The presentation includes the structure and administrative regulations of scien-tific research at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in Iraq as well as at the universities and research centers and scientific journals issued in Iraq. An overview of recent scientific outcome of Iraqi scientists will be giv-en. His visit is intended to continue efforts for collaboration between MU and Ira-qi universities, and to explore new projects to develop inter national collaboration and research, especially in Engineering, Education and veterinary medicine.
